After flying high against the Legacy Tigers last Thursday, the Millikan Rams came back down to earth. Millikan fell 68-60 to Varsity Opponent on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Millikan's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeremiah Hunt, who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals. The contest was Hunt's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Williams, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Millikan's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Varsity Opponent, they pushed their record up to 90-354-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Millikan's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th. Jordan is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. Varsity Opponent will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Newman AAA at 4:00 p.m. on December 6th. Newman AAA is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 65.7 points per game.
