After flying high against the Santa Fe Catholic Hawks last Friday, The Oasis Sharks came back down to earth. Oasis was the victim of a rough 29-7 loss at the hands of Saint Stephen's Episcopal on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 45 points in the game before, Oasis couldn't push the score so high this time.
Parker Smith threw for 107 yards on seven of 23 attempts. Gavin Wittmer was his top target, picking up 61 receiving yards. On the ground, Colin Anderson rushed for 38 yards.
Evan Brown had an outrageously good game for Saint Stephen's Episcopal as he rushed for 132 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 154 yards and a touchdown.
Oasis' loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Saint Stephen's Episcopal, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
Oasis will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Glades Day at 7:00 p.m. Saint Stephen's Episcopal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
