The Cook Hornets struggled with three-point shooting accuracy on Saturday (the Worth County Rams were 31% better) and sadly the final score reflected it. Cook had to suffer through a rough 70-43 loss at the hands of the Rams. Cook has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ny'shaun Wallace, who scored 12 points along with three steals. Keshun McKever was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
ASHTON WILLIAMS continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Worth County, scoring 31 points. The team also got some help courtesy of SHERMON SMITH, who scored nine points.
Cook's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Worth County, they pushed their record up to 14-7 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
Cook will take on the Yellowjackets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Worth County, they and the Purple Hurricane will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
