The Beatty Hornets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They lost to Indian Springs at home by a decisive 45-27 margin. If Beatty hoped to take revenge for the 39-36 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Beatty lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Reese Taylor, who scored eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Oscar Lopez, who scored eight points.
Jacob Gourley was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 18 points. Cole Concoby was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Beatty's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Indian Springs, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beatty will take on Round Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Indian Springs, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Spring Mountain at 5:00 p.m.
