Jimmie Burk Turns in Season-Best Performance
Jimmie Burk produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Redwood to the win on Friday. Burk rushed for 236 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 33 receiving yards and a touchdown. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (111.7). The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Burk is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Monache on Friday. Burk rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries the last time he and the Marauders duked it out back in October of 2023.

Najera Came Up Big in Golden West's 48-0 Win
Jayden Najera posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He threw for 223 yards and three touchdowns while completing 95% of his passes, and also rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
The win (which was Golden West's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Najera and Golden West will be playing at home against Porterville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Case Anders Delivers Electric Performance Vs Mt. Whitney
Case Anders was instrumental in extending Golden West's winning streak to five on Friday. Anders turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 110 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.
This season, Anders has run in 7 touchdowns while averaging 84 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown.

Monache Wins Fifth-Straight Thanks to Ty Baxter
Monache picked up their fifth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Ty Baxter. Baxter turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 115 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries.
El Diamante's probably not too fond of Baxter given he always seems to get the better of them. When Baxter last faced the Miners back in October of 2023, he rushed for 110 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 92 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Shimer Posts Huge Game in 37-0 Victory
Monache picked up their fifth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to D.J. Shimer. Shimer turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 75 yards and two touchdowns.
For the season, Shimer has run in 7 touchdowns while averaging 95 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he was only averaging 6.5 rushing yards per game.
