They took their contest at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 56-10 win over Mangham. The victory was familiar territory for Bastrop who now have eight in a row.
Bastrop's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jameiah Peoples led the charge by scoring 12 points. Another player making a difference was Antanasia Armstrong, who scored 11 points.
Bastrop's win bumped their record up to 21-0-1. As for Mangham, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-4.
Bastrop will be playing at home against Brusly at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brusly will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while Bastrop is ranked 20th). As for Mangham, they will head out on the road to face off against Union Parish at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Union Parish is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
