Bradenton Christian faced Donahue Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Panthers strolled past the Shamrocks with  points to spare, taking the game  42-24. The Panthers'  victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet  this season.
Bradenton Christian got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Dylan Herron out in front who rushed for 64 yards and a pair of  scores. The dominant performance also gave  Herron a new career-high in  rushing touchdowns (two). Another signal caller making a difference was  Holland Hume, who threw for 200 yards and two  TDs.
 Bradenton Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Connor Henderson and  Micah Kliewer.
Bradenton Christian's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Donahue Catholic,  the  loss snapped their winning streak at six games  and leaves them with a 7-2 record.
 Coming up, Bradenton Christian will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Geneva Classical Academy  at 7:00  p.m. The Panthers will be up against the Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.44  points per  contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Donahue Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
