Northern recap December 3, 2013
West Valley added to the longest winning streak in Northern this week by beating Central Valley, 56-28. The win marks 10th in a row for the the Eagles.
West Valley scaled the state rankings by moving to 54 from 95 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Greg Grandell's team climbed the ranks as a result of topping the Falcons 56-28.
The Eagles' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Kody Karpinski threw for 28 and 1 touchdown and Brady Casselman had 28 yards receiving. On the ground Austin Clark contributed 404 yards.
West Valley's dynamic duo of Karpinski and Casselman proved tough for Central Valley to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Clark provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Eagles defeated Matt Hunsaker's team.
Clark was a beast in the backfield as West Valley topped the Falcons.
6-foot-0 quarterback Timmy Naylor of Central Valley is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,121. He has also thrown 12 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Franky Shepherd. The Lassen star has 44 catches for 657 yards.
In 112 carries Tony Penta has accumulated 963 yard this year.
The Eagles took down the Falcons 56-28 last week, the largest margin of any game. Clark ran for 404 yards in the win.
