Waupaca had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Medford Raiders.
Waupaca had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-21.
Peyton Carlson paced Waupaca's offense, picking up 31 kills. Carlson got some help from Taylor Kling and her 41 assists. Sage Soto controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
