The Canyon View Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the Carbon Dinos at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Canyon View will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
While Canyon View's win against Skyline wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Canyon View skirted past Skyline 15-14. The victory was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Canyon View let Addi Rushton and Sadie Sams run wild. Rushton went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Sams scored four runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave Rushton a new career-high in RBI. Payton Castillo was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Canyon View kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.7 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.8.
Meanwhile, Carbon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 9-5 to Shelley.
Aleece Ardohain and Brailee Peterson did some serious damage despite the final result: Ardohain scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Peterson scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. Those stolen bases marked the first that Peterson snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Shayla Penovich, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-4.
Canyon View's record is now 2-10. As for Carbon, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Canyon View hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .325. However, it's not like Carbon struggles in that department as they've averaged .316. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Canyon View came up short against Carbon when the teams last played back in May of 2024, falling 8-3. Can Canyon View avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
