The first official football practice for the Sac-Joaquin Section begins July 24, which means the start of the season is fast approaching.

Jericho Johnson of
Armijo (Fairfield), the top-ranked player from the section, is ranked 13th overall in the state and 109th nationally. The 6-4, 300-pound defensive linemen recorded nine sacks for the Royals last fall.
