The Wellington-Napoleon Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Lone Jack Mules at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lone Jack took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Wellington-Napoleon, who comes in off a win.
Even though Odessa scored an imposing 62 points on Thursday, Wellington-Napoleon still came out on top. Wellington-Napoleon secured a 67-62 W over Odessa. With that victory, Wellington-Napoleon brought their scoring average up to 56 points per game.
Wellington-Napoleon got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Trotter Hughes out in front who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Haden Terrill, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, Lone Jack was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last Monday as they fell 55-49 to Oak Grove.
The losses dropped Wellington-Napoleon to 1-1 and Odessa to 0-2.
Wellington-Napoleon ended up a good deal behind Lone Jack in their previous matchup back in February, losing 53-37. Can Wellington-Napoleon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
