The Lindale Eagles will square off against the Pine Tree Pirates at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. Lindale's pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so Pine Tree's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
On Friday, Lindale got the win against Longview by a conclusive 8-1. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by seven runs or more this season.

Pine Tree came out on top against Troup on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Pirates took their matchup against the Tigers 7-4.
Zamora Smith was excellent, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Lily Dodson also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

The win got Pine Tree back to even at 5-5. As for Lindale, their record now sits at 15-1.
Saturday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lindale hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .462. However, it's not like Pine Tree struggles in that department as they've averaged .330. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Lindale got the 'W' in their previous matchup two weeks ago against Pine Tree by a conclusive 15-0 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
