The St. Paul Cardinals lost against the Bracken Christian Warriors back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. St. Paul was the victim of a tough 67-42 loss at the hands of Bracken Christian. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for St. Paul in their matchups with Bracken Christian: they've now lost six in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bracken Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hunter Cox, who scored 32 points. The game was Cox's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chandler Prescott, who scored 12 points along with eight assists and eight steals.
St. Paul's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Bracken Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 18 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Paul will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Austin Waldorf at 8:00 p.m. on January 12th. As for Bracken Christian, they will square off against Sacred Heart at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sacred Heart is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
