Baseball Recap: Fultondale Comes Up Short

Fultondale managed to slip by Cordova the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Fultondale Wildcats lost 11-5 to the Cordova Blue Devils on Tuesday. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Fultondale saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Tanner, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Fultondale is 2-1 when Tanner posts two or more runs, but 5-7 otherwise.

Fultondale now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Cordova, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-9 record.

While Fultondale had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
