There's no place like home for the St. Joseph Jayhawks, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road  last Thursday. They were the clear victor by a  38-17 margin over Maeser Prep Academy. That's another feather in the cap for St. Joseph, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Joseph to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Katelyn Martinez, who  scored 20 points along with seven  rebounds and four  steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Martinez has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Eliza Berg, who  scored six points along with ten  rebounds and two  steals.
 When it comes to explaining why Maeser Prep Academy lost on Thursday, one person who can't be blamed is  Octavia Mosher. Despite the final result, she  scored six points along with six  rebounds and five  steals. That was a full 35.3% of Maeser Prep Academy's points, marking the third time in a row she's  earned more than a third of the team's points.
 St. Joseph's win bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Maeser Prep Academy, they are  on a three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-11.
 St. Joseph won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against Providence Hall at 6:30  p.m.  on January 5th. Providence Hall will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for Maeser Prep Academy, they will be playing at home against Freedom Prep Academy at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Freedom Prep Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last eight games, a trend the  team is of course eager to reverse.
