Hopefully Life Christian Academy is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Master's Hand Christian in Alabama (Life Christian Academy is ranked 132nd, while Master's Hand Christian is ranked 349th).
Last Monday, it was a hard-fought contest, but Life Christian Academy had to settle for a 55-53 defeat against Mt. Pleasant Christian.
Meanwhile, Master's Hand Christian's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They took down Trinity Christian Homeschool 58-40.
Master's Hand Christian can attribute much of their success to Braedon Canuteson, who dropped a triple-double on ten points, 15 rebounds, and ten steals, and Jack Carey, who scored 17 points. That's the first time this season that Carey scored 15 or more points. Branson Solomon was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds.
Life Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Master's Hand Christian, their victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-6.
Life Christian Academy took their victory against Master's Hand Christian in their previous meeting back in November by a conclusive 59-37. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Canuteson, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Life Christian Academy still be able to contain him? There's only one way to find out.
