The Mathews Blue Devils lost against the Northumberland Indians back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Mathews fell 67-54 to Northumberland. Northumberland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyreek Lundy, who scored 18 points along with eight assists and eight steals. Lundy also posted two blocks for the first time this season. MJ Laws was another key contributor, scoring 20 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Mathews' defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Northumberland, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.
