Laurens has been on the road for five straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Hillcrest Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Laurens will be strutting in after a victory while Hillcrest will be coming in after a defeat.
Even though Laurens has not done well against Clinton recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Laurens managed a 31-27 victory over Clinton.
It was another big night for Zoe Young, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Laurens' points. Keyorie Yeargin was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Meanwhile, Hillcrest was beaten by Eastside 75-19 on Friday. Hillcrest has not had much luck with Eastside recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Laurens' victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Hillcrest, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
