The Schoolhouse Prep Wolfpack's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They fell  64-55 to Mater Academy Charter. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
 Schoolhouse Prep's  defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of  Hector  Samaniego, who  scored 22 points, and  Omarei Williams  who  scored 16 points.
 Mater Academy Charter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Ethan  Davis led the charge by  scoring 12 points along with seven  assists and seven  rebounds. Davis set a new season high mark in  steals with five. Another player making a difference was  Solomon Leinbock, who  scored 17 points along with six  rebounds.
 Schoolhouse Prep's defeat was  their fourth straight on the road, which  bumped their record down to 2-12. As for Mater Academy Charter, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-5.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Schoolhouse Prep will be staying on the road  on Tuesday to face off against Ferguson at 7:30  p.m.  on January 16th. As for Mater Academy Charter, they will  square off against Varela at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.
