The Jamestown Muskies suffered their biggest loss since December 15, 2023 on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 71-31 loss at the hands of Rocky Grove. Jamestown was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-15.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rocky Grove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Schiffer Anderson, who scored 18 points along with six assists and five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Anderson scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Baughman, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Jamestown dropped their record down to 4-10 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Rocky Grove, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Jamestown won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Union City at 2:15 p.m. on January 27th. Union City has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 22. As for Rocky Grove, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Commodore Perry at 7:30 p.m. Commodore Perry is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
