The Rock Hill Blue Hawks will head out on the road to face off against the Guyer Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rock Hill is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Tuesday just wasn't the day for Rock Hill's offense. Their rough 3-0 loss to McKinney on Tuesday might stick with them for a while.
Meanwhile, Guyer kept a clean sheet against McKinney on Friday. They came out on top against the Lions by a score of 2-0. Given Guyer's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 27th, while McKinney is ranked 117th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Guyer was led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Keira Floyd and
McKynzi Hailey, who scored both of Guyer's goals. The pair have combined for a total of nine so far this season.
Rock Hill has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-4-1 record this season. As for Guyer, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
