Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Thomas More to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sophia Lobehoefer, who had 13 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Lobehoefer has posted over her last seven matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Kovacovich, who had ten digs and one assist.
St. Thomas More was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 11 consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, St. Catherine's was able to grind out a solid victory over Milwaukee Arts on Saturday, taking the game 2-0.
St. Thomas More better keep an eye on Londyn Pardo. She was instrumental in St. Catherine's win, getting 12 assists and nine aces. Pardo is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last five games she's played. Mary Westfall was another key player, getting five aces.
St. Catherine's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for St. Thomas More, their victory bumped their record up to 14-9.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's contest: St. Thomas More has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.9 aces per game. However, it's not like St. Catherine's struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10.1 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
