The Ovilla Christian Eagles came tearing into Friday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Harvest Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 57-42.
Harvest Christian Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Cleary, who scored 20 points. Cleary scored a full 47.6% of Harvest Christian Academy's points, the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Andy Cumbest, who scored 15 points.
The victory got Ovilla Christian back to even at 5-5. As for Harvest Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
Ovilla Christian will play host again and welcome International Leadership of Texas Keller, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. International Leadership of Texas Keller has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 356 points over their last five matches. Harvest Christian Academy is on the road again on Saturday and play against Coram Deo Academy.
