The East Leopards will face off against the Alta Hawks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as East comes in on six and Alta on three.
On Friday, East needed a bit of extra time to put away Highland. They walked away with a 12-9 victory over the Rams.

Josh Treend and Logan Lunt made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Treend pitched four innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off only one hit. Meanwhile, Lunt struck out eight batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). The dominant performance also gave Treend a new career-high in strikeouts (five). At bat, Treend went 3-for-5 with four RBI and one run, while Lunt went 4-for-5 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Treend has become a key player for East: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 2-10 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brody Blaylock, who earned two runs and three stolen bases.
East kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 3.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 11.
Meanwhile, Alta owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They came out on top against Skyline by a score of 5-0.
Alta also got a great performance from Ian Alvey as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over 6.2 innings pitched.
At the plate, Colton Hall was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
East pushed their record up to 6-10 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Alta, their win bumped their record up to 13-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. East hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Alta struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
East couldn't quite get it done against Alta in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 11-7. Will the Leopards have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
