Sultana gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener  on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Granite Hills Cougars by a score of  7-2. The Sultans haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive  win against them.
 Savannah Vanderpool made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out eight batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and only one walk). Vanderpool was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double.
 In other batting news, Sultana got a  massive  performance out of  Avery Rodriguez, who  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  double. Another player making a difference was  Jadielyn Rodriguez, who  went a perfect3-for-3 with three  RBI and one  stolen base.
 Sultana was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Granite Hills only posted a  batting average of  .217.
 Sultana wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  game,  an  8-0  victory against Los Osos on the 19th. As for Granite Hills, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hesperia  at 3:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
