River View has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Napavine Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
With a playoff game on the line, River View rose to the challenge on Friday. They claimed a resounding 47-20 victory over Asotin at home.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead River View to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hyatt Clark, who threw for 212 yards and four touchdowns. Connor Harper also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Napavine came tearing into last Saturday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 45.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Adna, posting a 48-0 win at home. Given Napavine's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 49th, while Adna is ranked 199th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
River View's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35.22 points. As for Napavine, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.
