Tri-Valley recap October 8, 2013
Pine Grove scaled the state rankings by moving to 215 from 269 this week, the biggest jump in Tri-Valley. The Cardinals climbed the ranks as a result of besting Williams Valley 14-6.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Tri-Valley beat Millersburg 41-28. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Cole Barnhardt was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 25 carries, he ran for 161 yards as the Vikings lost to Newport.
Williams Valley's Stephen Sedesse and Cody Miller led Tri-Valley in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Sedesse has thrown for 1,104 yards this season, while Miller has 24 catches for 649 yards. Tri-Valley's Hunter Harner leads the league in rushing yards with 818.
Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when Tim Savage's team's Miller goes up against Mike Ulicny's team's Cale Bruso.
Next week's game between the Vikings and the Bulldogs will feature an aerial matchup as Sedesse tests his arm against Bruso's defensive ability.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Tri-Valley takes on Williams Valley. As it stands, the Bulldogs are in first, while the Vikings are in third.
Line Mountain was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from ninth to seventh in the league. The Eagles vanquished Halifax 41-0 earlier in the week.
