The Indian Creek Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their 12th straight loss. They fell just short of Concordia Prep by a score of 60-58. While losing is never fun, Indian Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 204th, while Concordia Prep is ranked 101st).
Indian Creek's loss came despite strong showings from Aiden Evans and Kyle Harvin. Evans scored 24 points, while Harvin scored 21 points.
Indian Creek dropped their record down to 7-17 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Concordia Prep, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Indian Creek will challenge Severn School at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Severn School has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 912 points over their last 13 games. As for Concordia Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against St. John's Catholic Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
