Meanwhile, Niles Notre Dame hadn't done well against Carmel recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Thursday. The Dons walked away with  a   2-0  win over the Corsairs.
 Niles Notre Dame easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12,  25-17.
 St. Patrick now  has a losing record of 13-14. As for Niles Notre Dame, their victory was  their fourth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 19-7.
 St. Patrick couldn't quite get it done against Niles Notre Dame when the teams last played  back in April as they fell  2-0. Can the Shamrocks avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
