Boles is 1-8 against Cooper since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Boles Hornets will head out on the road to take on the Cooper Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. Boles is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Boles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They walked away with a 94-83 win over Cumby. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Zyheir Lucas and Jonathan Cruthird were among the main playmakers for Boles as the former shot 4-for-5 from long range and dropped a double-double on 29 points and 11 rebounds and the latter dropped a double-double on 32 points and 11 rebounds. Meanwhile, Cooper ended up a good deal behind Alba-Golden on Tuesday and lost 60-44.
Boles is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-12 record this season. As for Cooper, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6.
Boles couldn't quite finish off Cooper in their previous matchup back in January and fell 74-71. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Cooper's Alfred Wilkerson, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 17 rebounds. Now that Boles knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
