Football Recap: Starr's Mill Gets the Win

Starr's Mill won the last time they faced Northside and things went their way on Thursday too. The Panthers walked away with a 28-21 victory over the Patriots. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jai Jackson, who rushed for 60 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 32 receiving yards. Northside also got help from Caden Barber, who showed off his sure hands for 80 receiving yards.

Starr's Mill's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Northside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Coincidentally, Starr's Mill and Northside will both be playing Jonesboro the next time they take the field. The Patriots will host the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th, while the Panthers will host them at 7:00 p.m. on the 30th.
