The biggest upset of the week belonged to West Lowndes, who took down 245th ranked Sebastopol, 36-22. Eric Harris ran for 89 yards in the win.
Noxapater extended the longest winning streak in 1A Region 3 this week by beating Nanih Waiya, 40-14. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
Tiberias Lampkin was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 186 yards on 19 carries as West Oktibbeha lost to Pelahatchie. Teammate Jonathan Love added to the ground attack by rushing for 31 yards.
Darrin Sherman put up the best numbers through the air as the Chiefs beat the Timberwolves. He finished with seven completions for 109 yards and two touchdowns. Sherman's favorite target this week was Alfred Jones, who caught one pass for 36 yards.
Jefferson was the best wideout in the league this week as West Oktibbeha lost to Pelahatchie. Jefferson tallied nine receptions for 93 yards. Love helped West Oktibbeha's passing attack out by catching four balls for 45 yards.
West Oktibbeha's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Timberwolves feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Von Smith has thrown for 1490 yards and 21 touchdowns this season, while Lavante Tate has 25 catches for 678 yards. Lampkin leads the league in rushing with 1982 yards.
Noxapater's Trey Baber needs only 35 yards against Dexter next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Baber has rushed for 965 yards on 83 carries so far this year.
