Charles Wright extended the longest winning streak in 1A Nisqually - Division 2 this week by beating Eatonville, 7-6. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Charles Wright and the Cruisers played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Charles Wright eventually emerging with a 7-6 victory. Raheem Hughey ran for 70 yards and caught one passes for eight yards in the win.
Chimacum's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Alex Morris threw for 45 and two touchdowns and Drew Yackulic had 38 yards receiving. On the ground Derek Ajax chipped in 70 yards. Melvin Thornton helped Chimacum's passing attack out by catching two balls for five yards.
The Tarriers' Fritz Jacobson and Beau Iverson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Jacobson has thrown for 693 yards this season, while Iverson, a 6-foot-8 receiver, has 10 catches for 214 yards. The Cowboys' Thornton leads the league in rushing yards with 1131.
Charles Wright made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,143 from 5,146. The improvement came about via a 7-6 victory over Eatonville last week.
