The Park Vista Cobras are taking a road trip to challenge the Western Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Park Vista is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They blew past Stoneman Douglas 11-1. The Cobras not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since March 13th (when they won 12-2).
Angeline Mergen made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. Mergen was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Park Vista got a massive performance out of Katie Ristau, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those four stolen bases gave Ristau a new career-high. Keaganne Glidden was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs.
Park Vista always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stoneman Douglas only posted an OBP of .238.
Meanwhile, Western won against Coral Glades last Wednesday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Wildcats beat the Jaguars by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. The win was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won three matches in a row.
Hanna Turner and Delaney Clair did most of the damage at the plate: Turner got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Clair earned three runs and five stolen bases. Turner has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Madison Mejia, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.
Park Vista's record now sits at 15-5. As for Western, their record is now 18-5-1.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Park Vista has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.9 hits per game. However, it's not like Western struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.1 hits.
