Softball Recap: Del Norte Wins Going Away Against Fortuna

Fortuna typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Del Norte proved too difficult a challenge. They put the hurt on the Huskies with a sharp 12-1 win. Considering the Warriors have won seven games by more than eight runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Del Norte's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Fortuna, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Del Norte is set to challenge their familiar foe McKinleyville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Fortuna will take on rival Arcata at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
