Crockett got a massive performance out of Adola Moore, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and one RBI. Those four runs gave Moore a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isabel Morales, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Meanwhile, Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin never let their opponents score on Friday. They put the hurt on Cedar Creek with a sharp 12-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Raptors in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.
Rose Harrelson made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Elizabeth (Lizzy) Lopez was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Claire Peters was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cedar Creek only posted an OBP of .111.
Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Crockett, their win bumped their record up to 12-7-1.
Crockett came out on top in a nail-biter against Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin when the teams last played back in March, sneaking past 6-5. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raptors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
