After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Colquitt County, the Worth County Rams were happy to have found some success on Friday. They blew past Jeff Davis 48-23. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Worth County also won the last time the pair played last Saturday.
Leading Worth County to victory were Za?Liah Howard and Jariah Williams. Howard scored eight points along with five rebounds and five steals, while Williams scored 14 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Howard hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Breonna Jackson, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Worth County's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-11. As for Jeff Davis, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-19.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Cook the next time they take the court. Worth County will host the Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Yellowjackets will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
