Mohave Accelerated fell 12-8 to Horizon Honors on Thursday. The Patriots' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Kennedy Lamb put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in March of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Lucy Wickham made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs and six RBI while going 2-for-4. Tanner Banks was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, St. John Paul II Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 17-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of Antelope. Even if the Lions couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

St. John Paul II Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Mohave Accelerated, their loss dropped their record down to 11-2.

Mohave Accelerated took their win against St. John Paul II Catholic when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 25-1. Will Mohave Accelerated repeat their success, or does St. John Paul II Catholic have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
