If the Stuart W. Cramer Storm were riding high off their 67-30 takedown of the Lincolnton Wolves on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Stuart W. Cramer fell 58-49 to Marvin Ridge on Friday. Stuart W. Cramer lost against Marvin Ridge in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 65-52 score last time.
Despite the loss, Stuart W. Cramer saw an underclassman step up: Oshauna Holland scored 24 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. The game was Holland's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ellia Barajas, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds.
Stuart W. Cramer has fallen quite a ways from their 22-6 record last season and are now at 1-2. As for Marvin Ridge, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stuart W. Cramer will take on South Iredell at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Marvin Ridge, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Rock Hill at 6:00 p.m. Rock Hill is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
