Cleveland extended the longest winning streak in 3A Eastern Carolina this week by beating C.B. Aycock, 28-6. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Rams.
Eastern Wayne moved up to 183 from 220 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Warriors climbed the ranks as a result of a 46-14 win over Southern Wayne.
The Golden Falcons' Austin Snowden and Dylan Hinnant have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Snowden has thrown for 467 yards this season, while Hinnant, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has five catches for 139 yards. Triton's Dedrick Stacker leads the league in rushing yards with 939.
Two of the top units in 3A Eastern Carolina will face off this week when the Hawks take on Cleveland. Triton's offense has racked up 233 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Rams have allowed only 89 on the year.
Ashley Ennis' team's Stacker is a mere 61 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Hawks take on the Rams. Triton has allowed 99 points this season, while Cleveland has given up 89.
South Johnston took down North Lenoir 55-10 last week, the largest margin of any game.
