The New Lisbon Rockets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They managed a 57-51 victory over De Soto. The win was some much needed relief for New Lisbon as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Despite the loss, De Soto still got an impressive performance from Kylee Venner, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 13 rebounds. The match was Venner's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sylvia Krueger, who scored five points along with six blocks and five rebounds.
New Lisbon's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-10. As for De Soto, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Lisbon will take on Hillsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hillsboro is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for De Soto, they will play host again and welcome Ithaca, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
