The biggest upset of the week belonged to Weequahic, who took down 114th ranked Verona, 28-20.
Shabazz was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in Super Essex - Colonial. The Bulldogs vanquished Montclair Kimberley Academy 36-14 earlier in the week.
The Cougars' dynamic duo of Rob Pannullo and Elijah Adderley proved tough for Shabazz to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Pannullo threw for 203 yards and two touchdowns and Adderley had 96 yards receiving. Joe Amato helped Montclair Kimberley Academy's passing attack out by catching three balls for 53 yards.
Mike Bocchino was the most productive running back in the league this week. In six carries, he ran for 81 yards as Cedar Grove lost to Darnell Grant's team. Teammate Charlie Dorman added to the ground attack by rushing for 73 yards.
The Panthers' Joe Slattery and Paul Rufo have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Slattery has thrown for 1216 yards this season, while Rufo, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 23 catches for 578 yards. Luke Harris' team's Pannullo leads the league in rushing yards with 433.
Two of the top units in Super Essex - Colonial will face off this week when Cedar Grove takes on the Indians. The Panthers' offense has recorded 264 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Weequahic has permitted only 65 on the year.
Cedar Grove extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Central, 37-0. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Panthers.
