Volleyball Recap: Cheney Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Cheney entered their tilt with Dodge City on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Demons by a score of 2-0.

Cheney not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Dodge City to exactly 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19.

Cheney's offense was headlined by Berkley McKinley and Landry Voth, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Meredith Wewe and her seven assists. McKinley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Cheney's victory bumped their record up to 22-8. As for Dodge City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season.

Cheney is taking a road trip to square off against Conway Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dodge City, they will look to defend their home court on the 18th against Garden City.
