Hacienda recap October 8, 2013
Diamond Bar added to the longest winning streak in Hacienda this week by beating West Covina, 34-13. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Brahmas.
Rowland lost to Bonita 59-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Tyler Peterson was a passing and rushing force as Diamond Bar defeated the Bulldogs. He completed 20 passes for 235 yards and 1 touchdown and also ran for 51 yards. Peterson's key target this week was Kyle Peterson, who caught 4 passes for 88 yards.
Cody Brazzill threw for 153 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Brazzill and Payton Jake gave the Bearcats a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Teammate Anthony Roberts added to the ground attack by rushing for 66 yards.
Ryan Maine's team's Peterson and Cordell Broadus led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Peterson has thrown for 1,047 yards this season, while Broadus has 36 catches for 393 yards. Bonita's Jake leads the league in rushing yards with 694.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Los Altos takes on the Brahmas. As it stands, the Conquerors are in third, while Diamond Bar is in second.
Adrian Medrano's team led Hacienda in scoring this week after putting up 59 points on the Raiders. Brazzill in the win.
