Basketball Recap: Francis W. Parker Picks Up Second Consecutive Victory

Latin came into Friday's game looking for another win against Francis W. Parker, but Miles Johnson wouldn't allow it. The Francis W. Parker Colonels had just enough and edged the Latin Romans out 71-69 thanks in part to Johnson, who went 11 of 21 on his way to 30 points along with seven boards and five steals. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Harris, who posted 11 points and five steals. Those five steals gave him a new career-high.

The victory made it two in a row for Francis W. Parker and bumps their season record up to 6-1. As for Latin, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

When Francis W. Parker and Latin next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Francis W. Parker will try to stop Beacon Academy's three-game winning streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Francis W. Parker is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.8 points per game this season. Meanwhile, Latin will try to stop Schaumburg Christian's six-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on December 20th.
