The Cairo Pilots lost against the Hamilton County Foxes back in December of 2014, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Cairo was outmatched by Hamilton County on the road and fell 70-37. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Cairo has scored all season.
Cairo's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of McKenlee Pirtle , who scored nine points, and Jeserick Pilgram who scored ten points. Pilgram scored a full 27% of Cairo's points, the eighth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Cairo's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Hamilton County, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.
Cairo will be playing in front of their home fans against Mayfield at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hamilton County is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Fairfield at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Fairfield is ranked 251st, while Hamilton County is ranked 240th).
