Softball Recap: Rison Has No Trouble Against Parkers Chapel

Rison's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Parkers Chapel Trojans with a sharp 13-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won five matches by nine runs or more so far this season.

Layne Potter was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Elissa Summar was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Rison's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Parkers Chapel, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-13.

Looking ahead, Rison will take on Dumas at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats are facing the Bobcats at the right time seeing as the Bobcats are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Parkers Chapel, they will be playing at home against Strong at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
