Tocoi Creek was led to victory by Audrey Beyer and Gabi Iturralde. Beyer scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and four steals, while Iturralde scored 16 points along with six steals. The game was Iturralde's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasmine Valcin, who scored three points along with six rebounds.
The win was the third in a row for Tocoi Creek, bringing their record for this year to 8-2. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.33 points. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tocoi Creek will be home for the holidays to greet Matanzas at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Matanzas is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. Trinity Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on University Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. University Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Trinity Christian Academy in Florida (University Christian is ranked 66th, while Trinity Christian Academy is ranked 562nd).
