The Lafayette Rams will face off against the Smithfield Packers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
While Lafayette's victory against Warhill wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rams won by a run and slipped past the Lions 9-8. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won seven in a row.
Brady Isaksen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Lafayette is 2-1 when Isaksen allows one or fewer hits, but 4-6 otherwise. Isaksen was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
